Why ladybug?

When trying to show someone the picture that started the whole ladybug theme for our little Ladybug, I discovered that I never actually made that post. Oops. Here's the story that should have been told months ago:

Back when my beautiful muse and I found out that we had a little baby girl on the way, we decided that the decor would naturally be dominated by sweeter, finer things - such as flowers. Coincidentally, a month before that, while strolling the grounds at the Château Versailles, we had happened upon this shot:





Talk about a natural fit for her room. We fell in love with the idea of our little ladybug - it seemed to suit her perfectly. Turns out there is a wealth of ladybug decor and clothing available for little baby girls, and so from one shot on a somewhat drizzly day in France, a theme and a nickname were born.

All that's left is to wait for her to be old enough to want to go to France . . .
